We have been organising wedding fairs since June 2014 where we began with a roadshow, taking the wedding fair to four different locations at community based areas. This not only helped us keep the pitch fee low to stallholders, but was a nice approach for brides to be to come and support local based businesses in the wedding industry. We had a steady flow of footfall at each fair although a couple of venues did not quite work as well for us. We were then approached by a local hotel who were refurbishing their wedding rooms and wanted us to help relaunch with a wedding fair. Not only did we attend their open evening but we also stayed in one of their new rooms so we could give feedback to our wedding fair guests. We had a steady flow for the first two hours and even attempted our first wedding dress catwalk! We now stick to local community based venues as our feedback was that brides felt more comfortable to approach suppliers rather than scared by how overwhelming it can get. Our suppliers have given us excellent feedback and book in every time. Our last wedding fair saw just over 100 brides to be arrive, and this is always grow the more established we become.
