About the Event
King Arthur Hotel Open Days ( For engaged couples who haven’t yet booked their venue) The perfect opportunity to look around the venue, outdoor ceremony space, beautiful gardens and accommodation options. You’ll be welcomed with a glass of fizz and by booking a venue tour, this guarantees the chance to speak to one of the team who will help you envisage your special day at The King Arthur. Featuring local wedding suppliers: award winning wedding floristEve Francesca Designs, Wedding Stylists Megan & Claude, wedding documentary photographer Martin Ellard and String Quartet and Trio, Taliesin Strings. You can also try our very own King Arthur Gin and treat yourself to ‘a Joe’s’ from our Joe’s Ice cream stand. You may just simply want to pop in and look around the venue, it will be lovely to see you. Walk-in couples are welcome from 11am – 4pm. (If you already have your wedding date booked with us and would like to attend the open day, get in touch with the wedding team directly)

Our wedding venue and function room, Avalon, has played host to weddings since 2003. Avalon has a high pitched ceiling supported by an exposed French oak frame and the polished oak floor at the center of the room is bordered by Welsh slate. The beautiful arched windows overlook the surrounding landscaped gardens. It’s no surprise that couples come from far and wide to view our spectacular venue and fall in love with this special place.
The King Arthur’s wedding team offers a wealth of experience and personal service to all couples. We have a number of wedding coordinators to assist with the wedding preparations and to of course be on hand during the big day. We appreciate that each and every wedding is unique and we do not host more than one wedding a day.
Avalon is an approved venue for Civil Marriages and Civil Partnerships. The wedding ceremony take place at the far end of room allowing the guests to look out onto the patio and gardens.
We have 19 en-suite bedroom available for the night of your wedding with complimentary bridal suite.
Avalon can seat a maximum of 140 guests for the daytime reception and 200 for the evening reception.
