About MFH Wedding Fair & Charity Dress Auction
The MFH Wedding Fair & Charity Dress Auction will take place on Sunday 17th April 2016 (11:30am - 4:30pm).
My Forever Home Animal Rescue is holding its biggest ever fundraiser, with over 60 brand new designer wedding and bridesmaid dresses, posh frocks and prom gowns all up for grabs, on a NO RESERVE auction basis - everything must go! With a total retail value of over £25,000, and prices starting at just £50 for wedding dresses and £20 for everything else, from names such as Maggie Sottero, Alfred Angelo, Ronald Joyce and Paloma Blanca, to name just a few, we can't wait to get going!
The dresses will be modelled to show them all off at their best. Doors open at 11.30am, auction starts at 12.30pm and we advise arriving early or you might not get in!
To occupy people whilst their favourite outfit comes round, alongside the auction we are running a fabulous wedding fair/ladies day, spread over two large function suites. We will have a variety of wedding exhibitors, plus others offering fabulous girlie items and services, and some wonderful craft stalls too.
As all profits from the event go towards our local animal rescue charity, plus another dog rescue called Greyhound Gap, everyone will have the added warm fuzzy feeling of knowing their money will really be benefiting animals in need. It's just the icing on the cake that they'll also save themselves a huge amount of money on some really stunning dresses, with individual RRPs of almost £1,000!
Entry is just £2 per person, which includes one free entry into the raffle, with prizes worth over a thousand pounds, again not solely aimed at brides-to-be, but anyone enjoying shopping, pampering, champagne, chocolate etc… so basically 99% of women!
As we wanted our event to be a little more interactive than your average fair, we have organised hourly demos of close-up magic, we have a photobooth where you can get fun pics of you and your friends, we have hair, make up and nail demos, even an old fashioned ice cream stall to sample their wares - and not forgetting our live puppy cam, showing our month old pups!
There’ll also be information and special offers from the assorted wedding and other girlie products available on the day, so even if you’re just at a loose end and would like to support our animal rescues, please do come along and of course bring your friends!
