Lightwoods Park and House is an elegant country house and wedding venue located in an oasis of greenery among the bustle of southwest Birmingham in Bearwood, West Midlands. The team's emphasis on flexibility ensures that couples enjoy the special day they want. Soon-to-be-weds can enjoy the house, gardens, and park for their ceremony, drinks, reception, and wedding breakfast. This restored 18th-century mansion will provide a gorgeous backdrop for your momentous occasion.
Facilities and Capacity
Nearlyweds can marry on the Edwardian Bandstand, in the leafy surroundings of Lightwoods Park, or host the ceremony in the Long Room inside the house with up to 80 guests. The Chance Room is the ideal setting for smaller ceremonies with up to 40 guests. This all-weather venue has various rooms available indoors and a large outdoor marquee in case of rain. After relaxing with your guests, you can enjoy a wedding breakfast in either the Long Room or the marquee. Alternatively, couples can organise street food, a hog roast, or a barbecue for a meal in the open air. Lightwoods House provides the bar for weddings, and a bespoke menu can be created. Up to 130 guests can be accommodated for the evening party.

You can marry on the Edwardian Bandstand, in the leafy surrounds of Lightwoods Park, or you can hold your ceremony in the Long Room inside the house ( both max 80 guests).
Whichever you choose, you can enjoy exclusive use of the Shakespeare Garden for drinks and photos.
We also have a marquee within the garden.
You can choose to have your "wedding breakfast" as a sit down meal, buffet or street food, in the Long Room before partying the night away.
We open additional room to accommodate evening guests (max 120).
Guests can enjoy the gardens until 9.30pm while the bar will serve until 11.30pm and music until 11.45pm.
