We found Rafe through a friend’s recommendation, and we’re so glad we listened.

From day one, Rafe was the ultimate professional, instantly putting us at ease. He even sent us our first look within 24 hours, which meant we could relive the day almost immediately.

More importantly, he is an incredible photographer. He somehow managed to be everywhere all day, capturing every moment, yet never once felt in the way.

Not only did Rafe deliver all the classic wedding photos - family shots, beautiful settings, and the big moments - he also prioritised what mattered most to us: capturing the atmosphere and making sure everyone was genuinely having the best time.

We’ve added our photos to our TV screensaver and regularly find ourselves watching them for ages instead of the show we planned to watch.

P.S. Rafe also has an incredible ability to capture great photos of clothes pegs, so we highly recommend getting a basket of them for the peg game!

After meeting Rafe at a wedding fair at our venue we decided to book as we loved the look of his work. We were lucky enough to have both Rafe and Sian with us on our wedding day.

Rafe and Sian were so professional and made us feel at ease, and guests commented on how friendly they were. Not once did we feel like we were stood round for ages taking photos which was important to us. Rafe took the perfect shot first time which meant we were able to enjoy our drinks reception with our guests.

We were sent over 100 photos the day after our wedding which really helped with the wedding blues. Within 8 weeks of the wedding we were sent nearly 1,000 photos which perfectly captured our day. We love every single photo and are so happy.

It’s almost a year to the day we met Rafe at Hatfield House wedding fair in January 2025. We were at the beginning of our wedding prep as we had decided that from our engagement in November 2024, we wanted to marry in August 2025, so quite a quick turnaround! Rafe’s stand caught our eye immediately, in particular as he had photographed at our venue before, but the quality and variety of shots he photographed as well as offering a videographer in his package was brilliant. He was calm, passionate and incredibly supportive and helpful with ideas and organising the best package for us. He agreed to our wedding date without hesitation, even though he had one booking the same weekend, and from this moment, we knew we had made the right decision!
Rafe was clear, accommodating and organised in the lead up to our wedding with meetings and suggestions about photography and timings and how the videography would work alongside. He was an absolute pleasure to work with and talk to and even on the wedding day, him and his colleague, Dave, were professional and put us at ease with no pressure to ‘pose’ which suited us as a couple.
We were so happy with the service he provided, on the day he went above and beyond with staying late into the evening and capturing Tina Turner Proud Mary on the dance floor (these are the best photos!), and also how quickly he sent us our first look, highlights, video and full album which we loved looking through a year on from our engagement. Our wedding guests have commented on how incredible the photos have turned out and we are obsessed by them! Quality, magical, memories, all thanks to Rafe. Couldn’t, and wouldn’t (!) recommend anyone else for capturing your special day!

We initially met Rafe at one of our venue's open days and we were immediately struck by the quality and style of his work. After chatting with Rafe we felt completely at ease and comfortable in his presence, and this is something that continued throughout our planning process and on the wedding day itself. He really listened to our ideas, giving us useful advice and tips, and sharing his knowledge of our venue. All of this meant that he truly captured the magic of our special day. His documentary style allowed us to fully enjoy our day and we have some amazing photographs of ourselves and our guests at various moments throughout the day. afe shot our wedding in September 2025, having already done an engagement shoot for us back in October 2024. I honestly can’t speak highly enough of him. Rafe has produced us some beautiful photos, which we’ll truly treasure forever, but it’s more than that. Rafe was always happy to give up his time when we were looking for advice to help plan our wedding day. He took the time to get to know us and understand exactly what we wanted from our wedding photos, then set about making it happen. Rafe is a very tall guy, this undoubtedly helps him get the shots he’s looking for. Despite this though, he’s somehow able to move through a room like a ghost. He’s able to find and capture moments throughout the day that you’ll immediately share with friends and family.
Not only is Rafe immensely talented, his work ethic is unrivalled. He sent us our “first look” album of around 40 photos, at around midnight on our wedding day (which was also his birthday!) 3 days later he sent us around 200 photos, and we’ve just received our fully edited final gallery of over 1000 stunning photos. My wife and I opened a bottle of champagne, set up a slide show on the TV, and spent over an hour laughing and smiling at the memories Rafe has beautifully immortalised for us.

If you’re looking for a photographer, Rafe is undoubtedly the man you’re looking for. We will undoubtedly hire him for family shoots in the future. In fact, we won’t consider hiring anyone else!

We booked Rafe for our wedding after seeing his portfolio and could not have made a better choice for our big day. Not only did he manage to capture candid moments throughout, but he was also great at coordinating everyone for the more posed group shots. He was incredibly communicative in the run-up to the wedding, which ensured we were on the same page on the day and had a plan to follow, with allowances for the inevitable delays that could happen at a wedding! We also found him to be super friendly, funny, and easy to work with.
The photos we have received are amazing, and really tell a story of the day.

We were recommended Rafe by a friend. From even before we met him we felt that his work stood out from the rest of the photographers we'd seen. Straight from the first contact Rafe was helpful and positive, with great communication. We arranged an in-person visit with him where he went through everything - details of our day, what we wanted, what we didn't want, what was important.

On the day Rafe was excellent at capturing all the action. He spent the first half of the day with the Bridal party while the second photographer was at the venue with me. He was then at the venue until 10pm, meaning he captured everything from start to finish.

Rafe is a pleasure to work with and captured absolutely everything we wanted. The final pictures are stunning. AND, all a price that was better than almost everyone else we looked at. In our opinion his work stands head and shoulders above most of the other photographers we looked at.
