We got married on 30th May, and from the very first viewing with Melissa, we completely fell in love with Thursford. We viewed a few other venues afterwards, but we just keep saying to each other, “It’s just not Thursford.” We knew nothing else compared. We knew this was the place people were going to remember for years! Our guests are still in awe over the museum!
From the moment we booked, we felt completely confident that our wedding was in the best hands. Melissa and the entire Thursford team were incredible from start to finish. Throughout the whole planning process, every question we had and every little worry was answered with kindness, patience and reassurance.
Melissa was absolutely amazing. She is such a lovely, caring person, and she truly went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. We honestly can’t thank her enough for everything she did for us.
Our wedding day was even more magical than we ever imagined, and that’s all thanks to the wonderful, organised team at Thursford. Everything ran so smoothly, allowing us to relax and enjoy every single moment. We are so grateful to every member of the team for making our day so special.
We also stayed in Holly Lodge, which was absolutely beautiful. The ladies there were so welcoming and looked after us so well, and breakfast was the perfect start to the morning.

From the very start everyone was so helpful, there was no request or question that didn’t come with a fully explained answer. The place itself is beautiful from the barn where we got married to the beautiful secret garden. There is no stone left unturned when it comes to detail, the team were so helpful in the days leading up to the wedding to even walking us back to our venue after the wedding was over.
The team at Holly Lodge are amazing, the breakfasts were fantastic and it was the perfect place to get ready the morning of our wedding. We celebrated our wedding at Thursford Garden Pavilion on 17th May 2026, and we couldn't have wished for a more perfect day.
From the very beginning, Melissa and Sophia were absolutely fantastic. Their professionalism, organisation, and attention to detail made the entire planning process stress-free and enjoyable. They were always available to answer questions, offer guidance, and ensure every aspect of our day was exactly as we envisioned.
The Garden Pavilion itself was a stunning setting, and everything ran seamlessly from start to finish. Melissa and Sophia worked tirelessly behind the scenes to make sure every detail was taken care of, allowing us to relax and fully enjoy every moment with our family and friends.

I honestly don't know where to start...
From a little girl, I have always wanted to get married at Thursford Garden Pavilion and that finally came true. However it was beyond my wildest dreams how incredible it would be.
From the very start, Melissa and the team were exceptional. Communication, ability to put us at ease, professionalism and attention to detail were just some of the amazing qualities this team had for us. Nothing was a silly question, nothing was too much to ask. They felt like friends we had known for years because they made us feel so comfortable. The venue felt like home for those days.
On set up day, the team were there ready for us and helped us every step of the way. They handled things like a breeze. When people say something will go wrong on your wedding day for sure, that absolutely did not happen. The day flowed and went perfectly.
We had so many comments about the beautiful venue and how people assumed it cost way over the odds for how incredible it was.
Then there is Holly Lodge. What a beautiful, amazing place to rest your head, get ready for your big day and spend quality time with family and friends. Spotless, luxury and a lovely bunch of friendly caterers and an idyllic backdrop for wedding pictures.
It was simply the most beautiful and best day of our lives and a number of guests commented saying how its the best wedding they'd ever been to and a lot of that credit goes to the Thursford team. Along with the ability to enjoy the carousel and gondola rides which is so unique!

From the moment we first visited, we knew it was our dream venue and it exceeded every expectation on the day itself. I don't think there's enough ways to say how incredible our wedding at Thursford was!
I absolutely loved the idea of getting married at Thursford so when it was time to book our special day we chose to view Thursford and absolutely no where else.
From that first email, to the meetings before and setting up and the big day; Melissa, her team and everyone at Thursford ensured our day went smoothly. We can't thank everyone enough nothing was too much trouble, the communication was excellent. Everyone was friendly and made us feel comfortable and reassured that our day was in safe hands.
We hired Holly lodge as part of our Thursford package and to spend the evening before there and wake up on the day was incredible. The accommodation, food and staff were all very attentive, kind and ensured our morning went smoothly. Nothing was too much trouble for anyone and the staff even helped with extras such as drying the bouquets before we left for the ceremony.
The biggest thank you to Melissa and everyone at Thursford for the absolute best day.

Getting married at Thursford was a dream come true for me. Growing up in the next village I spent many summer holidays enjoying Thursford as a little girl. So to have my wedding day there was truly magical.
From the first viewing I felt in very safe hands with Melissa. She was absolutely amazing. Nothing was too much trouble and she went above and beyond to make everything perfect and stress free for our wedding day.
The actual wedding day was unbelievably perfect. Everything was timed to perfection I never once felt on edge or worried something wasn’t going to go to plan. I had a completely stress free wedding day.
The venue itself looked beautiful. Getting married in winter was perfect as all of the lights in the trees outside looked stunning. The guests loved the old fair ground rides in the museum during our drinks reception, it was a fantastic surprise to them and kept the fun and excitement of the day continue.
We couldn’t be more pleased with our choice to host our wedding at Thursford and will forever be grateful to Melissa and the other staff members for helping make our day so perfect.

From the first moment of meeting Melissa who immediately made us feel welcome, we fell in love with Thursford. We visited numerous other venues, but we kept saying to each other “it’s not Thursford”. We quickly decided that it was the only place where we wanted to get married.
Melissa and Kerry were with us every step of the journey, even responding quickly to my 5am emails! They invited us back to the venue at different occasions to see the different layouts, helping us make the best decisions on our big day. They responded to my endless phone calls and emails within 24 hours and put us at ease with their professionalism and lovely nature.
The whole team at Thursford on the eve of the wedding could not have been more helpful, helping us organise the reception area and the barn to make it look exactly how we envisaged. They were moving sofas, tables and decorations, making us feel that nothing was too much of an effort.
We booked their local accommodations, Holly lodge for two nights which was perfect. The Holly lodge team were fantastic, from making the perfect breakfast which offered a great variety to their friendliness and kindness. We will definitely be booking to stay there again and can’t recommend it enough. The Shepherds hut where we stayed on the night of the wedding was beautifully secluded and offered amazing comfort.
The day of our wedding went so smoothly due to Melissa, Sam and the rest of the team’s communication. Their timings were perfect in every aspect and we never felt any stress. It really felt they were with us every step of the way.
Although my husband wasn’t sure about booking the carousel initially, after the wedding he said that he was so glad we did. All of the guests young and old enjoyed it immensely and the photos we got of them and ourselves on it were amazing! We loved seeing their faces going round and loving every minute.
The venue itself is such a beautiful place with the secret garden, museum, garden pavilion and barn. The grounds themselves turned into something magical at night, with the trees and bushes lit up like something out of a movie.
We cannot recommend Thursford enough as a wedding venue. The only downside was that the day had to end and we had to say our goodbyes.
Thursford itself is beautiful but ultimately, it was Melissa and the whole team who helped make the day what it was.

From first meeting Melissa and the Thursford team at the East Anglian Wedding Show, we knew we were in safe hands, with people who cared just as much about our day as we did.
Sarah & I wanted our wedding planning to be as simple as possible, due to busy work lives, and thus Thursford having the Truly Unique package and a list of trusted suppliers really made everything easy. In addition, the team were incredibly flexible in the lead up to the big day. Nothing was too much of an ask for Melissa & Kerry and they made our day a joy to plan.
During the preparation the day prior, Melissa, Kerry and the Thursford team were all on hand, ready to assist with anything from last minute signs, to a timings run through that made everything seem simple. And thanks to the team at Thursford, on the day, everything went perfectly, even with last minute additions to the itinerary added by us!
Booking Holly Lodge also made the entire weekend so special for us as a family, having both the Groom & Bridal parties able to get ready at the same venue, albeit separately, made it easy and efficient for our photographer to get those all-important preparation photos. The rooms are stunning, the food was delicious and the staff extremely accommodating.
The big day would not have been the special, unique and magical day it was without Thursford and the team there. Literally every guest was in awe of the venue, riding on the Gondola and the Gallopers and every single one mentioned how it reflected us as a couple perfectly and Melissa & Kerry were a huge part of that.
Thank you to the entire team for everything you have done for us. We have memories that will last a life time and we can’t wait to be back this Christmas for the Christmas Spectacular.

From the moment we viewed Thursford, we knew it was the perfect venue for us. We wanted a venue which was unique, magical, offered multiple spaces and was somewhere we could go back and visit in the future.
Melissa, Emma and Kerry were great - we had plenty of questions and they were always happy to accommodate. They provided reassurance throughout and gave us the flexibility we needed with setting up two days before the wedding day to allow us to spend time with our family the day before. If any supplier issues arose during the day (at no fault of Thursford), the Thursford team were on our side throughout and were resolved promptly.
We opted for the Truly Unique Package and the 2 night Holly Lodge stay. The catering was great and also allowed us to personalise the set menu to what worked for us. Holly Lodge was clean and tidy and the cooked breakfast and freshly baked pastries were a hit.
Our guests said it’s the best wedding they’ve been to: starting with the magical arrival music; gondola/carousel rides; the barn, museum, ice cream parlour and pavilion spaces; the magical Thursford light switch on in the evening; and closing the evening with casino tables and fireworks.
We cannot recommend this venue enough. We had a wonderful day at Thursford and we can’t wait to visit again.

Well..... where do we start.
So me and George started our planning journey in 2023, we wanted a venue that was different, quirky, out of this world, something that makes people think "omg that was one of the best weddings" or "omg do you remember Holly & George wedding", that "WOW" factor. We didn't want the traditional church, barn conversion, grand hall that everyone else has. We started at a wedding fayre in Norwich and as soon as I walked in , I saw Thursford. I already knew what Thursford was, as been there many times growing up and it held a special place in my heart. Well we got talking to Melissa and Emma, and I was literally sold on the moment I saw it. I had to convince George, and told him he would not be disappointed.
Well that was all history as we booked, paid and prepared and just like that 2 years went by and our day was here on 05/04/2025.
Well.......what can I say, speechless!!!!
Thursford and the Team delivered, above and beyond. What a venue, What a day. That was unforgettable.
The team at Thursford and Holly lodge, we're Just...... well perfect, you literally couldn't fault anyone. Melissa and Kerry, constant communication right up and on the day. Nothing was too much for them and Holly lodge Team were fantastic. Everyone was so lovely, warm and welcoming. I've travelled a lot in my time, and the team in Holly lodge were just up the top, you couldn't get a nicer bunch of people.
But OMG the day, the day was perfect, Melissa constantly communicating ensuring the day went smooth and calm. Melissa even kept a secret.... my mum had surprised us with a 'singing secreto' and told Melissa to keep it a secret, she dropped a hint about it the day before, but me and George were both oblivious to it. But that was fantastic how they kept it under wraps and we were none the wiser.
I could talk about our wedding all day, it was just pure magic, truly spectacular, just out of this world, and literally we got that "WOW" factor we had the "best wedding we've been to" comments. We literally did it, and we couldn't of done it without you guys. You literally delivered above and beyond. People complain about prices of venues etc, but when you see how much effort these guys put into something that they are passionate about, you'll understand why.
OMG!!! This place and it's team we're fantastic, I literally couldn't thank them enough for the dedication and time they put in making this an unforgettable experience. If we could go back in time and do it all again, we would and would book Thursford over and over!!!!

We had our ceremony and reception at Thursford and loved every second of it. Neither of us had been to Thursford before we went for the initial venue viewing. From the moment we saw the Garden Pavilion we fell in love with the place. The Secret Garden was exactly what we were searching for when we planned an outdoor ceremony.
The Secret Garden is an absolutely stunning part of the venue, with a lovely water fountain in the centre and flower beds running down either side of the space. An arch at the end of the aisle meant that we were surrounded by nature for the entire ceremony, and the hidden speakers allowed for our music choices to be loud and clear. We opted to take our guests into the museum after the ceremony. This was a great idea. People were in awe of the carousel and gondola rides. It gave everyone a chance to have some fun and enjoy just how amazing the place was. The Garden Pavillion was what sold the venue to us. Not only did we have more than enough space to cater for all of our guests, we also had use of the incredible dance floor. The fact that the dance floor can be hidden away from view, allowed for us to have a grand reveal during our first dance. This is something that our guests were talking about for days after the wedding.
The whole venue was magical, but the real reason we chose to get married here was because of the incredible people behind the scenes. Melissa and her team made the whole process so incredibly easy. Not only did they recommend caterers, photographers and entertainment, they made everything so clear and simple. On the big day, Melissa was there to coordinate and keep everything running smoothly. She was absolutely incredible. She even walked us back to our accommodation after the night was over. We stayed at Holly Lodge, which is across the road from Thursford. Staying there was the best decision we made. Not only were the rooms amazing, the staff were lovely and the convenience of being 5 minutes away meant we didn’t have to worry about taxis. Thank you so much to all of the amazing people who were involved in our special day. We could not have asked for a better venue or a better team to oversee it with us.

First of all, we are in the entertainments and events industry so we know what it takes to run an event, because of this we would be even more critical and let me tell you, Thursford understand what it takes to put on a wedding. Melissa is worth her weight in gold, nothing was too much trouble, her calm manner with us and firm manner with the vendors is everything the bride and groom needs from the build up to the day. This place is an absolute gem, from the moment we saw the venue, we knew this was for us. There are so many areas that can be customised from the secret gardens, barn, museum, pavilion, the way everything can be personalised to our taste was a huge selling point. It was a long planning stage, around 2 years and all communication was fantastic, all questions answered. We even met the owner of Thursford during a Christmas Spectacular show (surprising our parents where we would be getting married), the owner overheard this, congratulated us and gave us some bubbles and mince pies. He did not have to do this for us but this just shows how incredible everyone is at Thursford and how anyone will go the extra mile.
We also stayed at Holly Lodge, the team there were amazing and could not do enough to help us. What an amazing backdrop for our bridal prep photos and the groom enjoyed his fry up the day after.
Even the get out was a breeze, everything was neatly placed in the foyer for us to collect, all team were so polite and friendly.
What you don’t realise is that when you book you do not only get a stunning venue, you get a wedding co-ordinator with Melissa. On the day she was perfect; organising a large group, in constant communication and even walking us back to Holly Lodge at the end of the evening. I don’t think you can really underestimate the value of one person putting our minds at rest on the big day, someone to constantly move the flow of the day along and take away all the pressures and stresses of the day, a true professional.

Thursford is a new and exciting venue and it was able to offer us what we wanted which was a mixture of the old with the new
So much care has been put into this new location for weddings that at times we had to pinch ourselves to make sure that we were not dreaming.
Charlie was top notch and kept us on our toes during the planning part of the wedding and on the day of the wedding nothing was too much trouble for him and he made our guests feel welcome and comfortable. The guests were entertained by the rides on the gondola and carousel and by the slick service of the drinks after the ceremony. We were made to feel like one of the Cushing family which made the whole process so much easier as we felt that we could call up and ask any questions and this helped to reduce the pressure and stress of planning our wedding. In short this is a truly unique venue with so many unique photo opportunities and it will have your guests talking about your wedding for weeks and weeks afterwards.

My husband Joe and I got married in May at Thursford Garden Pavilion and it was everything we had hoped for - and more! The venue looked just as stunning in person as it did in the photos, we were really lucky, it was a lovely dry and sunny day.
The night before, we checked into Holly Lodge (which is an amazing place to stay) and on the morning of our wedding the staff there were on hand to make breakfast for us.
We got married inside the museum itself, which is such a one-of-a-kind setting. The space created a warm, intimate atmosphere which our guests loved. Many of them commented on how unique the venue was and how it truly made our day one to remember. After we got married, we were able to incorporate some of the museum rides which was such a fun and unique experience for us and our guests. In addition, we were fortunate to have Robert Wolfe play the Wurlitzer before our ceremony, which added such a special and personal touch to the day.
One of the highlights for us was how accommodating the staff were, especially Melissa and Emma, who were both incredibly helpful throughout the entire planning process. Melissa and her staff were on hand throughout our big day, making sure everything ran smoothly, which took a lot of stress off of us.
The gardens were beautiful and so made the perfect space for photos and in the evening the lights came on creating an even more magical atmosphere. We took advantage of using the 'Secret Garden' to have some photos of us both, such a beautifully kept garden created some special photos.
We opted for the catering package provided and we were so impressed. The food was exceptional and we felt the package overall offered great value for money.
Having visited Thursford for years for their Christmas shows and Gala days, it felt so special to celebrate our wedding at a venue that held so many memories for us—and one we’ll continue to visit in the future. We would absolutely recommend Thursford Garden Pavilion to other couples looking for a wedding venue. The combination of the stunning setting, unique museum space, and excellent staff made it the perfect choice for our day.

We know Thursford well so when we started discussions with Melissa about having our wedding there, I already had a good idea of what I wanted in my head. Throughout the process, from the booking form to the pre-wedding meeting and finally setting up the day before, Melissa, Emma and Charlie were seamless. There’s nothing that fazed them and no question they didn’t have the answer to.
The Garden Pavilion itself is perfect in that it’s a blank canvas, which meant I could easily create my vision. The dance floor is the most beautiful and high-tech dance floor I’ve ever seen at any venue. I spent most of the night on there!
Our ceremony took place in the barn, the rustic charm and chiffon that hung from the beams meant we only had to add a little decoration, it didn’t need much at all, you could have got away with nothing but I had a vision that I wanted to stick to.
After the ceremony we went straight into the museum for rides, canapés and arrival drinks, this kept the guests entertained whilst we got formal photos taken. It also made for some unique couple shots due to the bad weather!
I stayed at Holly lodge with my bridal party, it really was the cherry on top of the most amazing wedding venue. Holly lodge is beautifully decorated, the staff are friendly and attentive and, as we had booked it out exclusively, they turned the conservatory into a hair and makeup station for the morning of the wedding. We had an amazing choice of breakfast which was all very tasty!
I kept waiting to feel nervous the morning of the wedding but the nerves never came.
Charlie was our wedding manager for the day and I knew that he and the Thursford team had everything under control, that there was nothing I needed to worry about (surprising words from a self-proclaimed control freak!)
The day went flawlessly even with rubbish weather, we had so many compliments from our guests and even now we regularly get comments on what a lovely day it was and how much everyone enjoyed themselves. Thankfully the rain stopped in time for fireworks and a few couple shots outside with the incredible fairy lights. Joe and I loved every single minute, we truly can’t thank the Thursford team enough.

I had always hoped to get married at Thursford as the venue holds special memories for me. I'm so pleased we made the decision to as it was everything we hoped for and more.
Before the wedding itself, Emma was fantastic with communication and Melissa helped us when we had an issue with a supplier (not linked to Thursford), this was extremely reassuring and helped massively. We really enjoyed preparing the venue the day before (with lots of help, advice and support from Melissa). We felt so reassured with the knowledge and experience the events team at Thursford have, we didn't have to worry about anything.
I was able to wake up at the stunning Holly Lodge where my bridal party all enjoyed the amazing breakfast. The Holly Lodge staff team were all so welcoming, friendly and went above and beyond to make the wedding morning perfect.
We both felt calm and relaxed as we knew we had the Thursford team around to help with anything throughout the day. Melissa and the team helped to keep timings on track (we didn't have to think about this at all!) and everything went so smoothly and was just as we had planned (even our very specific music timings)!
Our wedding day really was magical and we are so pleased we decided to go with Thursford. Thank you to all of the staff team for everything!

We had been to Thursford at Christmas time and loved the photogenic setting. When we found out they do weddings, we jumped at the chance got into contact with them. Before we knew it, we met Melissa and the venue was booked.
Melissa was our main point of contact, she was so easy to get in contact with whenever I had any questions or worries.
We had a slight hiccup in the day which the whole team were so flexible throughout the day and evening still making sure everything ran smoothly.
The venue is stunning and it will always be a special place for us.

What an absolute privilege to have celebrated our wedding at Thursford Garden Pavilion!
We chose to stay for the two nights at Holly Lodge B&B across the road which certainly was the icing on the cake and made our day that much more special and stress-free. The breakfast included on both mornings were delicious, the rooms were stunning and no ask was too much from the lovely staff, they even had sewing kits and did our ironing! It also gave us a great base to return to and could easily access the venue.
The whole process of preparing and planning our special day was made easy thanks to the fantastic team at Thursford, they were all extremely helpful providing suggestions, ensuring everything was put together and relieving the not so fun tidying away afterwards! Melissa did everything she could to ensure our day ran smoothly and was accessible throughout the whole lead up, setting up day and wedding day to be a helping hand and answer any questions and queries we had!
We felt very honoured to have been able to get married in the beautiful barn, and have access to the fairground rides & museum which was a huge hit with our guests, but also nice to have been able to put our own touch on it when we came to the reception decorating the room but with all the hard work eliminated with the dance floor, tables & chairs and bar already in place! We also loved how we were given optional extras to add to our day such as the LOVE dance floor letters and blossom trees to suit our budget and being in-house made it so easy.
We had such fantastic feedback from our guests, how good the venue was and how helpful the staff were, we agree that this day simply couldn’t have gone any better and we are so grateful to everyone involved at Thursford Garden Pavilion.

From our very first meeting with Melissa and Emma at the East Anglian Wedding Show we found Thursford Garden Pavilion to be a unique choice! It wasn’t until we met with Emma and Melissa again that we realised it was the most beautiful and utterly magical venue which ticked all the boxes for us both.
From that very first moment, we’d found our perfect venue!
Not only did Emma and Melissa help with making our day so very magical but any problem I encountered, which seemed so big to me, was a walk in the park for this duo!
We had planned to marry in the beautiful Barn but realised that we had more guests than was allowed! But this was no problem for the Thursford team, they gave us some different options and invited us to come back and have a second, third and even forth visit! We decided to move our ceremony to the actual museum just in front of the Gallopers! And oh my what a beautiful place to tie the knot.
Not only beautiful but unique! It’s not everyday you get married so only the best would do!
We stayed at the wonderful Holly Lodge. Not only did Teresa make our stay a whole new experience, but the whole place was absolutely fantastic in decor from the suit of amour in the entrance as you walk through the door to the pictures hung on the walls of doggy portraits, it looked so sophisticated! The breakfast I could smell wafting up to our rooms was so delicious. The rooms were all clean and tidy, every effort was made to make our stay there incredible which it truly was thanks to Teresa and her team.
On the day of the wedding Melissa ran the whole show effortlessly, all I had to do was get dressed, relax and enjoy the whole experience, which I did in style!
We both had the most magical day, with every guest saying how amazing and pretty Thursford was, everyone loved riding on the Gondola and the Gallopers which made the most unique wedding a dream come true!
We’ve had so many comments from guests saying “it was the best wedding they had ever been too”.
I can truly say I felt like a beautiful princess in a magical kingdom marrying her Prince Charming.
We can’t praise and thank Thursford Garden Pavilion and the team enough for our unique wedding experience. We both hope to come back very soon.

We celebrated our wedding day at Thursford Garden Pavilion and had the most amazing day.
From the moment we were greeted by Melissa for the viewing, we knew instantly we had to book, it was everything we had dreamt of and more.
In the run up to the wedding, Melissa and Emma were both on hand to answer any questions we had and they both went above and beyond to ensure our day was exactly how we envisioned it. The whole team at Thursford are a pleasure to work with.
After our church ceremony , we had canapes and prosecco in the secret garden, this is a hidden gem, with beautifully manicured lawns and the most picturesque fountain. We then moved into the barn for our wedding breakfast, before enjoying the wonderful, vintage fairground rides in the museum. It was lovely to see children’s (and adults!) faces light up whilst enjoying the rides. We carried on our evening celebrations in the pavilion which offers so much space and is versatile to suit any kind of wedding. It was lovely to be able to decorate it exactly how we wanted it and have the team on hand the day before to assist in setting up. Melissa absolutely excels at wedding planning and was on hand throughout the day to ensure everything ran smoothly.
We stayed at Holly Lodge the night of the wedding, what a gorgeous place to stay, lovely staff, delicious breakfast and the rooms are so comfortable, clean and stylish. It made a lovely end to an unforgettable day.
It was an absolute privilege to have celebrated our wedding day at Thursford and are extremely thankful to all the staff involved who helped make our day one we will remember for the rest of our lives.

From the minute we arrived to look round Thursford I was smitten, the whole atmosphere felt calm and serene and welcoming. We had the lovely Charlie show us around and his enthusiasm was so infectious, we were excited already! We were also completely bowled over by how involved and enthusiastic all the staff we met were. We left and didn’t think twice, we were hooked!
The whole experience with Melissa and Emma was so smooth, nothing was too much and they were genuinely excited by our ideas no matter how bonkers they sounded. Inflatable helter skelter, no problem, filling the room with antique furniture and “knick knacks”, sounds great, changing up the wine offering to have Rose Lemonade, consider it done. We felt completely safe and reassured that we did not need to worry about anything, suppliers, timings, logistics all taken care of.
The day before Melissa could not have been more accommodating, even though we ran a little over time she helped finish everything off and even finished parts the next morning. If there were issues or problems we never knew about it. I woke up in Holly Lodge and felt completely spoilt, as did our family. Being able to calmly sit and laugh with the lovely housekeepers whilst I waited for Melissa to get me just set the tone for the day. A day that just blew our minds, it felt seamless and all we had to do was have a fantastic day. Which we did!
We completely recommend hiring the rides, the best money we’ve ever spent! Seeing the faces of our guests when they saw the museum was priceless but when they realised the rides were included…magic! So many lovely photos and videos of everyone just enjoying themselves. Adults and kids alike loved the day and we were able to set up our garden games on the lawn for after the dinner for everyone to enjoy. So many parents told us how they could relax as the setting felt so safe for the children and they could easily run about outside without worrying about them escaping or breaking anything.
Finally, I cannot even begin to describe all the little things that just helped enormously. Melissa just being there with little hints and tips, grabbing us a water, telling us to take 5 minutes, advising the best method for things.
The only sad thing is we can’t do it over and over again. So all we can say from the bottom of our hearts is thank you to Melissa, Emma, Charlie and the whole team for making this truly the best day of our lives.

Nathan and India

We chose Thursford Garden Pavilion to celebrate our wedding reception because it was the only place that felt like us. From our initial enquiry the magic started, when we viewed the venue we knew we didn’t want to celebrate our special day anywhere else.
Melissa and Emma, who looked after us, were faultless and clearly absolutely love what they do. The Thursford team are true professionals and truly went above and beyond to accommodate our needs. Our guests described our day as truly magical and everything went perfectly.
After our ceremony, we had canapes in the museum which looked spectacular - we audibly gasped when we walked in. We hired the rides which were well worth it, they sprinkled in a bit of extra magic and made for some incredible photographs and memories. As the lights glittered we laughed and made the happiest memories with the people we love the most.
We had a sit down meal in the pavilion which was a bright, spacious and stunning space. The decor items transformed the venue into a wedding wonderland and we were able to unleash our personalities and decorate how we wanted to ensure the space represented us as a couple. Melissa ensured everything stayed on track and perfect - even when we went rogue and ran over time on scheduled parts. The team were on hand to reassure us and ensured we had special moments away from everyone else to enjoy some time for just us. Not only did the team perfectly manage all of our plans and requests (including looking after my 91-year-old grandmother with care and attention) they also accommodated secret plans that our guests made to surprise us on our wedding day with a projector of childhood photos of the bride.
I cannot recommend this venue enough. Its unique, magical and truly makes a statement. I couldn't imagine celebrating my special day anywhere else and we are forever grateful to the entire team.

From the moment we first saw Thursford Garden Pavilion and met Emma and Melissa, we knew it was the perfect venue for us and that we would be in good hands! Even more perfect was that we could have our lovely dogs with us for the whole experience.
We decided to stay at Holly Lodge the night before the wedding which was the icing on the cake. On the day of set up, it made things so much easier to be able to just walk back over to Holly Lodge and start the wedding celebrations. The groom’s Birthday was also on this day, so we were able to have a little gathering in the beautiful garden and also use the bikes. We stayed in the bridal suite the night before and then the Shepherds Hut on the night of the wedding. Teresa and everyone at Holly Lodge were absolutely amazing and went above and beyond with making our stay special. It felt like they were part of the family whilst we were there.
We had the ceremony in the Secret Garden which was truly magical, all thanks to Melissa (the unpredictable British weather making things uncertain). She made sure there was a Plan B and no stress required! We had the beautiful and incredibly talented ‘Sue’s Acoustic’ sing me down the aisle which could not have been more perfect, so many people commented how wonderful Sue was and complimented the beautiful surroundings perfectly.
We decided to have the rides in the museum for all the guests after the ceremony, along with canapes served and tickets given out for the ice-cream parlour! All the guests were blown away and so shocked that this was all part of the wedding. They had a fabulous time on the Gondola and Gallopers and still mention now: it was the best wedding they’ve been to!
We chose a three-course meal with the package and would not have changed a thing, absolutely amazing food and service, we could not have asked for more. From the set up the day before with the help of Melissa, the dancefloor reveal and the confetti throw, to keeping all the guests happy and opening the rides for a second time in the evening, every little detail was cared for by the wonderful staff at Thursford.
Thursford Garden Pavilion was beyond stunning, Holly Lodge luxurious and the food absolutely beautiful, but it wouldn’t have been what it was without Melissa and all the amazing staff who work there to make it all so perfect.
