The Great Barn is a breathtakingly beautiful 15th Century barn venue (with its impressive 45 foot high ceilings) located about 8 miles outside of Exeter on the edge of Dartmoor. It is a beautiful, exclusive-use wedding venue, set in the grounds of a private estate, offering weekend weddings from Friday-Sunday, and occasional midweek weddings if desired. It has a capacity of 250 (plus 70 in the adjoining round house) when standing; a capacity of 168 sitting at round tables, and 198 at long tables. Also available on site is luxurious accommodation for up to 30 guests in a variety of stylishly renovated stone cottages. Situated on a farm within the idyllic and tranquil countryside, Humber Barn has been beautifully restored from the farms Lambing Shed with weddings in mind. Whilst keeping all of its original rustic charm, the barn has a fully glass front allowing you and your guests to take advantage of the stunning views of Dartmoor. With a private patio and outdoor lawn, it is perfect for everything from your romantic ceremony, to your reception drinks with garden games, all the way through to a festival style evening with haybales and firepits. Charming just as it is or completely transformed by decoration, the fairy lit barn will take you from a bright, relaxed daytime to an atmospheric evening with all of your family and friends.

Offering captivating views over the beautiful Devon countryside and a collection of four stunning spaces, Upton Barn & Walled Garden is the ultimate country wedding venue. Upton was born out of love. We hunted high and low for the perfect wedding venue and failed to find anywhere that would offer us the freedom and flexibility to create the relaxed wedding we dreamed of. Eventually we realised that nowhere was quite like home and set about transforming our forgotten Victorian kitchen garden into the stunning Walled Garden it is now. We enjoyed our day so much we decided to offer our beloved Upton to others looking for the same perfect, relaxed venue. Open the gate and discover the secret Walled Garden, an idyllic spot for wedding ceremonies with its manicured lawns, fragrant flower borders, tinkling water fountain and hand crafted oak arbour. The Cider Barn offers an alternative and equally stunning backdrop for ceremonies with its polished concrete floor, lime rendered walls, soaring oak trusses and floor to ceiling window which floods the space in natural light. The Stable Barn is the latest addition to our portfolio and offers a stylish setting for your wedding breakfast with its warm timber interior, elegant lighting and fully stocked bar. The Tack Room is an intimate space for you to take a moment, relax and refresh in luxurious comfort. Guests can mingle in the Press Bar whilst they enjoy an artisanal drink from our new bar menu, settle down in the comfortable seating around the wood burning stove, play a garden game or explore the beautiful surrounding landscaped grounds. Then as evening falls, take your first dance beneath the twinkling fairy lights in The Cider Barn to your favourite DJ or band; roast a marshmallow with friends and family around the fire pits and savour the end to a perfect day. Upton is unique for its blend of traditional and modern architectural design. Various artisanal features, such as the hand crafted oak arbour in the Walled Garden and chandeliers made by our local smithy, are evidence of the care and attention paid to the minutest detail.
