About The Laker Suite at Holiday inn Southend
The Laker Suite at Holiday Inn Southend is the perfect venue for your celebration. Whether it be an intimate gathering, vow renewal or a traditional full wedding day, we can cater to all your needs.
Your are in good hands with our team who are here from the initial planning stages and will assist you every step of the way, through to your big day. Our Event Management team will ensure your day runs smoothly and will create great lasting memories for you and your guests.
At Holiday Inn Southend, all our ground floor suites can be used for your civil wedding, wedding breakfast and evening reception with plenty of space for any evening entertainment. You can also have full use of our ground floor bar and lounge areas in the evening.

The Ultimate Package
The Laker suite is the perfect backdrop for celebrations of up to 175 guests for evening celebrations with your own private function bar. We can host up to 96 guests for a wedding breakfast with natural daylight on both sides of the room. For couples who are planning a more intimate wedding, our Ambassador, Britannia and Carvair rooms can accommodate 50 – 75 guests.

When it comes to food our Chef’s demonstrate a passion and excitement for delivering the best in taste and quality. No matter what package you have chosen rest assured that all food is prepared onsite and designed with you in mind.
The addition of canapes and buffets can really add to the magic of your Wedding day.

Start early with your celebrations and book an intimate informal gathering with family and friends the night prior to the Wedding Day.
We can offer Exclusive access to the 4th floor executive lounge with spectacular views overlooking the Essex Countryside.
For those attending an onsite event; please take a ticket on entry at the hotel car park. Upon departure, please present your ticket at the reception desk and our team will validate your ticket free of charge.

We will showcase our beautiful Laker Suite dressed by The Flower Stores, & Eternity Events. Our dedicated wedding coordinators will be on hand to show you around and discuss wedding packages available and questions you may have.

What an absolutely wonderful experience. From the moment we visited the Holiday Inn fayre, we just knew it was the location for us. Everyone was so accommodating, helpful and supportive, and allowed us to create the wedding we had always dreamed of having.
We decided to go for the Twilight package, which perfectly suited us. The food was fantastic, the waiting staff were brilliant and all night the whole events team were exceptional throughout.
