With three spectacular function suites, every wedding is different as each couple creates their own perfect day. The venue is licenced for civil ceremonies, but neighbours some beautiful churches and St Nicholas' Cathedral, giving you several options for your ceremony. The venue is also close to some top-quality photographers, offering endless backdrops for your wedding day album. Alternatively, stand on top of the property's exclusive rooftop terrace, ABOVE, and capture them all without leaving the comfort of the hotel. Services Offered The Vermont Hotel is a four-star hotel that offers five-star service. The venue's team were judged wedding coordinators of the year and remain by your side from start to finish. With just one wedding celebration per day, you and your partner have the professionals' undivided attention. Added extras in your packages include a complimentary menu tasting to refine your wedding breakfast to your specifications. Complimentary wooden chairs, ivory and red aisle runners, cake stands and table linen are also yours for the day. The hotel also owns two Rolls Royce's and can be hired to chauffeur the wedding party. One hundred one-bedrooms are available to book, including the east castle suite and The Presidential Suite for the happy couple.

Discovery Museum is housed in the old Co-operative Wholesale Society building, Blandford House. Opening in 1899, it quickly became an iconic building in Newcastle city centre. Blandford House became a museum in 1978 and was re-launched as Discovery Museum in 1993.

The breath-taking Grade II listed hotel has lots of original Victorian features including high ceilings and large windows, combined to create a picturesque setting to provide an idyllic backdrop for your dream wedding. Choose from the traditional oak wood panelled Mozart Suite overlooking the stunning 19th century architecture of Newcastle Central train station, or the County Suite with its high vaulted ceiling and original stained glass windows. Our venues are just a stones throw apart from each other allowing you to view them both in the same day. Our incredible team will be on hand to chat with you, answer any questions or simply run you through how our venues work. We have also invited our wonderful recommended suppliers who we work with frequently so that you can vision your dream day becoming a reality with us! No ticket is required, just simply turn up between 12:00pm and 3:00pm and one of our amazing team will be on hand to greet you with a complimentary glass of fizz and a brochure. You will also be able to sample some of our delicious canapés, street food and a mouth watering pizza our resident Pizza Van while walking round and envisioning how your perfect day will work with us here at The Parlour at Blagdon and Shotton Grange.
