Bashall Barn is an exclusive and unique wedding venue with panoramic views across the Ribble Valley. Our exclusive-use venue can accommodate between 50-130 seated guests for your ceremony and wedding breakfast with up to 200 guests for your evening reception.

As you drive along our mile long tree lined driveway, Wotton House is unveiled and has the wonderful ‘wow’ factor for you and your guests. Located in Dorking, Surrey, our grand Manor House is set within immaculately manicured gardens, which feature the first Italian gardens introduced in the UK, a stunning, secret walled garden, temples, ponds and streams with pretty ornate bridges. Our gardens are deemed as such historical interest, they have been given a Grade II listing in addition to the house. This 17th-century architecture and outstanding grounds provide spectacular backdrops for those once in a lifetime important photos. When you choose Wotton House to host your ceremony, there are two simply stunning spaces to choose from. Our beautifully finished Old Library is a truly majestic setting for exchanging your vows. The room boasts ornate, welcoming fireplaces, a grand vaulted ceiling and hand-painted detailing, providing your ceremony with an enchanting and elegant atmosphere. Alternatively, if you would prefer an outdoor ceremony, the spectacular Roman-style temple within the 17th-century, private walled garden is simply stunning. The grand structure is not only a delightful setting for your service, but a unique backdrop for your treasured wedding photographs. By night, the temples are lit, offering a new and magical setting for even more stunning photos. The Orangery bar is the perfect setting for your drinks reception. The space is full of magnificent 17th-century frescos and offers direct access to the outdoor terrace. The Evelyn Suite has recently been refurbished to offer a light and neutral palette to complement your colour scheme. With three double doors opening out onto the 13 acres of breath taking gardens and a side door leading to our fairy-tale grotto. Our bedrooms have, along with the rest of hotel recently undergone a £6 million refurbishment, using soft colours and ‘quirky’ contemporary touches, making Wotton House a truly unique award winning venue. Many couples choose to host their family and friends at Wotton the night prior to their big day, extending the celebrations and being able to wake up relaxed in the morning, knowing their Parents, Bridesmaids, Best man and guests are all on site. The morning after your special day, all your guests can join you for breakfast and recount all of the days happy memories. From your initial enquiry through to the ‘big day’, you can rest assured that we will deliver a personal service, with creative expertise. The Manor Rooms is a brand new venue which has been sympathetically built with a rustic yet luxurious feel, with features including beautiful bespoke upholstered chairs, fabulous chandeliers with the wow-factor, exposed stone walls, wooden floor with underfloor heating, a fully-stocked feature bar and, of course, bi-fold windows with stunning and picturesque views across the fields on The Drewton Estate, which is located on the edge of the famous Yorkshire Wolds. The Manor Rooms comfortably accommodates up to 150 seated guests, for a wedding breakfast, and up to 225 guests in total for the evening reception, depending on your choice of room layout and furniture. The Library is located on a mezzanine, overlooking the main function room, and will provide the privacy required for an intimate Civil Ceremony. Complete with oak staircase, glass balustrade and chandeliers, it is also a great space for a reception area. We will be fully licensed for both weddings and civil partnerships, both inside and outside the venue. The Library can accommodate a ceremony for up to 60 guests; The Garden Room is a smaller room and can seat up to 24 guests; or The Manor Rooms will accommodate up to 225 guests with the option for a ‘sapphire wedding’ where guests are seated on The Terrace. We have a full music licence for your chosen entertainment, a superb sound system, a hearing loop, free wi-fi and amazing lighting with chandeliers and personalised LED highlights to boot! Even our ladies’ powder rooms and the ‘little boys room’ have special features with an element of fun in the décor and your choice of essential oils for the diffusers. With spectacular views across the rolling hills of the East Yorkshire Wolds, The Terrace really is the perfect backdrop for beautiful photographs or for reception drinks and canapés. It can also be used for outdoor ceremonies when the weather permits. A few steps down, and you will come across our garden Boma with outdoor seating and fire pit. A nod to the Taylor family’s love of Africa, it is the perfect place to sit under the stars on balmy summer evenings. We pride ourselves on our exceptional food and service, with creative, seasonal and delicious menus. We are therefore delighted to offer fabulous wedding menus, based around the seasons and using the very best local produce. The Drewton Estate’s multi award-winning Farm Shop, Drewton’s, is proud to work with over 250 Yorkshire producers, farmers, growers and suppliers and our chefs’ wish is to indulge you and your guests with quality tasty dishes, all the while supporting these artisan businesses.
