Weddings at Wivenhoe House are everything you’d expect and more. Our stunning 18th Century, country house hotel makes the perfect backdrop for your wedding and is set in the most idyllic of locations. With sweeping staircases, elegant rooms and surrounded by beautiful Essex parkland, our venue is nothing far from spectacular. Licensed for civil ceremonies, we also have an outdoor Gazebo, overlooking our breath-taking grounds, so you can wed surrounded by nature and tranquillity. Here at Wivenhoe we have put a twist on tradition and fused the main house with a Garden Wing, which sits alongside the meticulously renovated historic house and offers a more modern experience. Our team of dedicated wedding coordinators and aspiring managers, will go above and beyond, and will take care of every detail to ensure you have the most perfect day. We also believe that your special day should not be shared, so we hold one wedding per day, promising you the undivided attention of our professional wedding team. In this most historic of settings in Essex, this is your chance to write the next chapter in the history of this unique and magnificent country house wedding venue.

The Kent Wedding Centre is a unique concept where we have permanent exhibition space for independent wedding businesses in a beautifully restored Oast House. A relaxed and enjoyable showroom where you are not bombarded with suppliers forcing leaflets in your hands instead you will be greeted by our receptionist and free to wander the room to view our first class cakes, flowers, chair covers, decorations, photographers, suits and wedding dresses. Please look out for our special dress designer days and open days. You are welcome to browse 9am - 5pm weekdays. Weekends by appointment only.

Located in the picturesque Essex countryside, The Reid Rooms is a selection of handsome weather-boarded barns surrounding an attractive courtyard. Set against a stunning rural backdrop and with beautiful gardens, complete with moated Farmhouse accommodation, this venue is sure to provide the perfect setting for your wedding day. The venue is licensed for civil ceremonies, offering both indoor and outdoor options. The intimate oak-beamed Ceremony Room stands at the end of a pretty flower bordered pathway and is delightfully decorated with fairy lights. We have two outdoor ceremony pavilions, The Garden Pavilion on the Farmhouse lawn is secluded and tranquil and The Meadow Pavilion stands in the heart of a truly stunning field surrounded by open countryside. We can offer field hire for those of you looking for a festival-style wedding, with or without a licensed ceremony location. We pride ourselves on our flexibility, letting you have the day you have always imagined. We offer either a package at amazing prices or, if you would like a little more flexibility with your menu, you may choose the ‘venue-only’ hire, bringing in any suppliers of your choice. We are also very happy for you to provide your own alcohol and soft drinks for the day, with no corkage charge. Our bar opens immediately after the wedding breakfast for your evening reception. The Reid Rooms is a wonderful wedding venue for all seasons, hired exclusively for the day from 9.00 am until midnight. It can accommodate small, intimate weddings or more extravagant celebrations of up to 150 guests for the wedding breakfast. We can accommodate up to 200 for the evening reception.
