Some of the highlights for us that stood out - The site couldn't have been cleaner! Prices were just right!, absolute joy and so so easy!, With our wedding being moved twice during covid - I couldn't have asked for a better service. One of the best services I have ever encountered!

Fiona and Justeen were welcoming, enthusiastic, positive, warm, friendly, supportive, assisting, knowledgeable, quick at responding and just an absolute joy for them to be a part of our weekend!, We chose Knockerdown due to the friendly staff, the beautiful outdoors and that it was a wedding event like no other.

I couldn't thank the team at Knockerdown enough. They made sure that me and my husband truly had the best wedding day/weekend of our lives. It was truly beyond perfection and it wouldn't have been possible without the team. This place is the best wedding venue anyone could ask for. Please do not look further, this is the place you NEED.

lovely venue, wonderful team- nothing was too much trouble
We spent a whole weekend at Knockerdown- preparation on Friday (we decorated the whole site and did own flowers); outdoor wedding on Saturday, with reception and ceilidh; and family BBQ on Sunday. The team were very flexible re decorations and entertainment (which included a fire-eater!) and very efficient re putting out chairs etc. Justeen even managed to calmly smooth over a bit of in-law argument which threatened to erupt! Only suggestion for improvement was the outdoor PA system which I think hit a glitch on the day. Thank you for a wonderful wedding weekend and all your support and kindness

(Bully's workshop) Little Bear Crafts as always Hope your crochet skills are amazing, so much so that everyone knocked your pumpkins and took them home! Stitch It & Fix It made our gorgeous bunting and I cannot wait to see the professional photos of our confetti tunnel! When thinking about our first dance, we wanted something elegant yet simple Rendezvous For Dancing Charlotte was an amazing instructor and we can't wait to join the group lessons! Thank you so much to Kelly Bryan for my gorgeous hair do, felt like a princess all day. I can't go without saying, Cupid Connections my dress was absolutely stunning, thank you so much for altering the length, it was the perfect length for running around a field with a pupper! Have you noticed my beautiful bouquet and autumn flowers? Hannah Allsopp your floristry skills made our wedding beautiful. Richard Gardner Photography you are the most sweetest photographer ever, thank you for dealing with my brothers shenanigans in the morning and for just rolling with everything we threw at you! As you all know, mine and wills relationship runs on food so it's fitting that The Butler's Pantry - Derby Limited made us a gorgeous two course meal with multiple options and that Dove's Delights provided our beautiful cheese and ice cream carts. You were both amazing to work with and I literally wanted to steal those mouse cheese knives. Our night couldn't have been anything without our entertainment, Halo Events UK your photo booth was hilarious and the memories I have with the photo book are priceless, MRC Entertainment UK Mark! You were awesome my friend! The mix was amazing, the lights, the atmosphere, I'm so happy how well it all worked out! Lastly to all my family and friends who helped by either making over 80 cupcakes or painting 79 rocks, or reading a poem whilst crying your eyes our or flouncing down the runway to shania twain, or just being there to let me moan about wedding planning, you are my world and yes the day went by so quick but the memories are here forever From Mr and Mrs Phipps.

Dear Fiona and all the Knockerdown Team, My husband and I would like to express our sincere thanks to you, your excellent team and the company for facilitating the wedding of our daughter Alexandra & Joshua last weekend. From our first meeting you listened to what Alex & Josh envisaged for their wedding, and worked hard with them to achieve their vision. Always available by telephone, email or Microsoft Teams, you patiently answered questions and accommodated changes of plans due to covid restrictions. You kept us informed and up to date every step of the way. I know Alex & Josh felt that you helped them relax when stressed with any set back that covid restrictions/lockdown imposed - therefore taking the weight off their shoulders. You must deal with plenty of couples planning their wedding but you made them feel special. The venue was perfect and you all worked so hard to make all our requests "work". It meant for us that the weekend was relaxing stress free so we could really enjoy every moment. You even organised great weather!! Everything from the reception room, gazebo and field, the drinks reception area; to the posters in the toilets were perfect and many of our guests commented on what a perfect venue. We cannot thank you all enough for enabling us to have a belated but very welcome wedding weekend. Please pass on our thanks to all the team and to the directors of the company. An absolute fabulous weekend from start to finish. Justine the wedding coordinator and team couldn't have been any better if they had tried. They were there when we needed them and not in your face the rest of the time. I know Justine was brilliant in helping Lee & Becki plan their wedding and nothing was too much trouble. The venue is just fantastic, and the cottages were first class not your 'typical' self-catering properties. They were spotless and so well equipped even down to the smallest of details. We’ve just come back from our weekend wedding at Knockerdown Cottages and there aren’t enough words to say how perfect it was. Our wedding coordinator Justeen went above and beyond a million times over, during the two years leading up to the wedding and over the whole weekend itself. We can’t thank her and the team enough for helping us create such a fun and special weekend.

Having most of our guests be able to stay on site was really important to us, as well as the option to choose all our own suppliers and decorate as we wanted to. Knockerdown provided all this in a beautiful location which made it an easy choice.

All of our guests keep telling us how incredible the venue was, and how friendly and endlessly helpful the staff were. We're so impressed and so pleased we chose Knockerdown for our wedding. We can’t wait to come back for a visit!

The absolute perfect venue for our Wedding !!!! (our guests were already looking at availability to rebook for another future family event on the evening of our Wedding !!) - we wanted our Wedding to be special, pretty unique and memorable both for us and all our guests. We didn't want our event to be a 'just tear off the top and add water' type event, almost exactly the same as every other wedding we'd been to, mostly very traditional. While they were all absolutely brilliant Weddings, and while we had fun at every single one of them we wanted ours to feel different. So, while we did visit some larger, more mainstream and traditional hotel-type venues it really didn't take too long for Knockerdown Cottages to be our first choice. The opportunity to hold an outdoor garden party-type event in a private setting exclusively booked for our guests over a relaxed full weekend met our ideal scenario 100%. Knockerdown Cottages is located pretty much right in the centre of England, in rural Derbyshire just outside the south eastern border of the Peak District national park and about 20mins north west of Derby. As our families live all over the UK this was perfect for us as it shared out any travel requirements as fairly and evenly as possible. All of the cottages have been beautifully updated during 2020/21, there is plenty of space both inside and out to entertain guests, and the other facilities (while small) including a spa, swimming pool and games room were exactly what we were looking for. To top it all the expert wedding planning support, general event advice and flexibility (a start from 'yes' mentality) offered along our journey from our very first visit right through to our final checkout as a newly married couple was second to none from Fiona, Justeen and absolutely everyone we encountered. The only thing nobody had sufficient control over was the weather, but that turned out well for us too fortunately and the indoor entertaining spaces available at Knockerdown would have meant our event would have been great even if the weather had limited our use of the lovely outdoor space. If you're dreaming up any kind of event of the type I have described, and this part of the UK is do-able then save yourself time and effort and just book with Knockerdown Cottages, with ample supporting suppliers with connections to Knockerdown in the local area just look no further.....have fun !!!!!!
