We cannot rate this hotel highly enough. From the onset their commitment to making our day as special as possible was evident. We were initially only planning on holding our evening reception here, however as we were so impressed with how they communicated with us and how quickly they responded (even in the height of a pandemic) we moved the whole day here. There was never any hard sell, but when you have a good team and a beautiful venue it sells itself.
Ken and the team checked in regularly in the build up to the day and co-ordinated all the timings on the day to perfection. The room was well sized and perfect For the number of guests we had. We were able to access the ceremony room the night before to prepare which took a huge pressure off.
The food for the wedding breakfast was exceptional. We had a number of guests say it was one of the best meals they had eaten. Service was seamless and the waiting staff were very efficient.
We had a team of staff with us throughout the day and evening. The events team set up our wedding breakfast and evening reception beautifully. The DJ (provided by the Hotel) had our names and CONGRATULATIONS lit up on the wall which was a lovely surprise.
Later in the evening my mum had a medical emergency, the staff co-ordinated and showed all guests down to the hotel bar. They then ensured that no one was able to access the room whilst the paramedics were there and made sure my mum had Privacy and dignity both whilst they were treating her and when she was moved to the ambulance. They also Offered me and my husband a great deal of support. They stayed on past their end of shift to ensure we were all ok.
This shows that not only can they host wonderful weddings but they can act professionally and calmly when the unexpected happens. This hotel and their team deserve all the recognition.
