Welcome to Newbattle Abbey, an events venue with a difference. Originally a medieval Cistercian Monastery, then a family home, it is now the perfect venue for weddings and civil partnerships.

Newbattle provides a backdrop for 900 years of Scottish history – visit us and let us tell you our story.

We are a short distance from Edinburgh and can provide accommodation for your event or meeting. Free car parking is also available.
