“The whole day was amazing. It was the best day of my life, I felt like royalty. The ceremony was in the Arundel room, which was beautifully presented and made the ceremony very intimate. We chose the magnificent Princes room the grandeur of the room and the ability to fit one banquet table for all the guests and we chose The Compton Ballroom for our evening as it is the perfect setting for an elegant evening celebration with room for a band and a dance floor. I just kept thinking, I've been a princess for the last two days. The staff at The Grand were lovely and the food was outstanding.

I got married at the Grand Hotel on the 8th June 2019, after 2 and a half years of planning! I firstly want to thank Melissa and Stella from the Wedding events team for ensuring that our day went smoothly from start to finish. Their planning and attention to detail was spot on.
Our day was amazing and that was mainly due to the staff. They were so attentive and helpful and their service was excellent.
In regards to the room we stayed in, we had a master suite on the night of the wedding and it was huge. I have never stayed in such an amazing room like that before. We are already planning to go back and stay for our one year anniversary next year!
We had the most incredible day and thats all thanks to the brilliant staff at the Grand Hotel. They made the happiest day of our life even more special by their attentiveness and fantastic service.

Our wedding was a long time in the planning and we liaised with three professionals at The Grand during that time; Gabrielle, Melissa and Stella at the end. Initially we were concerned that this might affect continuity in the planning but nothing could have been further from the truth – all three were excellent. We have to especially mention Stella who was our point of contact in the three months leading up to our day (and was even there on the day itself). Stella was well organised, an outstanding communicator and had superb attention to detail. Planning a wedding has a lot of moving parts and potential pitfalls but she really took the stress out of the whole process. Every single member of staff worked tirelessly to make us, and our guests , completely welcome. The standard of the food for the wedding breakfast and evening buffet was superb. We'd also like to mention how efficient and unobtrusive the serving staff were – they were choreographed with military precision and all our party were served with hot food within minutes of each other. At the end of the day we misplaced something which was eventually recovered with the help of the staff – who couldn't have been more efficient or helpful. We have no hesitation in recommending The Grand to anyone who wants to marry in spectacular surroundings whilst being treated with the highest standards of efficiency, courtesy and outstanding professionalism.

From the moment we viewed The Grand Hotel, we knew it was the perfect venue for our wedding. From the very beginning, the events team were incredible and accommodated every wish and suggestion we made. Both Melissa and Stella were fantastic with the planning and were always very responsive to emails and happy to arrange meetings with us. Stella ensured everything came together perfectly in the run up by speaking to all our suppliers and answering any last minute questions that arose, even meeting with us the day before. On the day itself, Megan made everything run smoothly so we didn’t have to worry about a thing and could fully enjoy every moment. The food for both our wedding breakfast and the evening reception was fantastic. The chef put together a custom made menu for the evening according to our wishes and the guests loved it. The wedding breakfast tasting was a wonderful experience and the chef even came out to discuss the menu with us. The suite we stayed in was beautiful and the staff on reception, concierge and the spa were fantastic throughout. Thank you for bringing our dream wedding to reality! We will definitely be returning to celebrate our anniversary.

Our wedding day was something like a dream and a lot of our guests told us it was one of the best Weddings they have been to. The day ran so smoothly and any issues were dealt with promptly and without question. I have had no end of comments from family and friends telling me how lovely the Grand Hotel is and in particular how kind and helpful all the staff were. Guests have told us stories about doormen, front of house team, porters, cleaners, kitchen staff, waiters/waitresses and of course the events team all being happy, helpful and making guests feel as special as we did.

Oliver and I were treated so well from the start (way back in 2020) and that was part of the reason in choosing the Grand. Every time we visited, we were made to feel so special and we hoped our family and friends would feel similar.

You in particular Lottie, have been a joy to work with over the last year or so. You have always responded so politely and promptly and on meetings, you have been extremely kind, professional and happy. From mine and Oliver’s side, it hasn’t been stressful and a lot of that is due to knowing our day was completely safe in your hands.

The Grand Hotel Eastbourne has become a special place to us and we look forward to visiting again in the future.
