The building dominates the gorgeous grounds of Priory Park, offering an idyllic, intimate setting. The beautiful location provides plenty of wonderful backdrops for some of your important photos, surrounded by the elegant mature trees.
The Guildhall provides a delightful fairy-tale setting for your ceremony. The stunning stone floor and grand opening entrance look beautiful when bathed in natural daylight. The space can accommodate up to 110 people for your romantic ceremony.
We only allow one wedding per day at The Guildhall, meaning that the venue is yours for a private, exclusive celebration. You could make the most of the stunning venue by enjoying a few canapés and informal drinks after your ceremony.
With the city centre just a short stroll away, you can hold your reception in a fantastic location nearby.
Throughout The Guildhall’s 700-year history, it has been through many changes. While its origins are of a Franciscan friary, it has also been a political hub for elections, a courtroom, and a drill hall for the army. Today, the spectacular grade I listed building has been licensed to hold wonderful wedding ceremonies.
