My husband and I married at The Talbot on 1st July 2017. Our wedding was 2 years in the planning and worth every moment of it. Kristina, Russell and the entire team were fantastic! Given we had so long to plan our wedding we knew exactly what we wanted - nothing was too much to ask of the team and they were so helpful in offering suggestions for the day and recommending suppliers as well as generally going above and beyond at any opportunity. In the run up to the and on the day itself we knew we were always in safe hands with The Talbot team! We had the most perfect day and our wedding was nothing short of amazing thanks to the team at the Talbot. Several guests commented it was the best food they'd ever had at a wedding and commented how great the venue and staff were too. Huge thanks to all at The Talbot for making our dream wedding a reality!

Talbot, Ripley - a great place to get married. The Talbot has a fantastic atmosphere. The buildings are full of character and are not soulless, like some purpose built wedding factories. The staff were great, hard working, friendly, helpful and committed to making sure we had a fantastic day. The feedback we received from our guests was they had a wonderful day with great food and surroundings. This is a beautiful venue, especially the barn. Krystyna, our coordinator was wonderful, so helpful with every detail. Russel was fantastic at working the guests and looked after us all day. Such a friendly team. We are goung to miss them! A truly magical day from start to finish.

We got married at the Talbot Inn, July 2018 and it was the most amazing venue. Intimate and characterful. Krystyna was lovely and made the planning stress free - she is very organised and the whole team were extremely friendly. Russel was also amazing on the day, again very friendly and well organised, made everything run very smoothly. The food was INCREDIBLE!!! And the hog roast in the evening was even better! We did get married on the hottest day of the year and it was very hot in the venue while saying our vowels and eating, and also the rooms were hot to sleep in at night, however on the whole, it was the best day of my life and I’ll never forget the people who helped that happen- thank you everyone at the Talbot Inn!! We got married at The Talbot last month and we couldn't have asked for a better venue. It was perfect. Krystyna, the wedding co-ordinator, made us feel at ease instantly. As a woman who manages events for a living, I have high expectations and a tendency to want to manage all the details but I knew from the first meeting with Krystyna that we need not worry about anything. All of the staff were incredibly attentive and nothing was too much trouble. The majority of our guests (60) stayed overnight. The feedback on the rooms was wholly positive and we enjoyed a delicious breakfast in the restaurant overlooking their beautiful garden the next morning. All in all, a wonderful experience and a day we will cherish forever. Thank you Krystyna and the team for helping us create some very special memories.

The reception for our daughter’s Wedding was held at the Talbot last Saturday and day was everything we had dreamed of and more. From the first time we met Krystyna, the Event’s Manager we felt totally confident that everything would be done to make the day very special. We were made to feel that our daughter’s wedding was the most important date in her diary nothing was too much trouble. The function rooms and courtyard at The Talbot are lovely and have so much atmosphere making it perfect place for a wedding. The food was all delicious and the staff were all efficient and very pleasant ensuring our guests were well looked after. Thank you to Krystyna and all the staff at The Talbot we would have no hesitation in recommending you to anyone.

Absolutely amazing!! Krystyna and the team helped us over the course of a year to create the most magical day for our friends and family. They host numerous weddings every week yet they still made ours feel like the most important event they were organising, everything was very personal and no request was too much trouble. I would highly recommend the talbot for your special day, it’s the most beautiful venue with amazing staff.

As soon as we saw the venue and met her we knew this is where we wanted to get married, all the way through the planning process she helped with suppliers and organisation and even when covid laws meant we had to shrink our day, Krystyna was always at the end of the phone to answer our questions and made sure everything was perfect and we all had a good day!

The Talbot, and more importantly Krystyna, were amazing to work with. From our very first meeting with Krystyna, she was incredibly understanding and helpful and ensured we could have exactly the wedding that we wanted. And then COVID happened ... but still, throughout the entire lockdown Krystyna provided regular updates on the situation and how The Talbot were making changes in order to be compliant. We were adamant that our wedding date and getting married was the most important thing, so Krystyna helped us to adjust our plans for the day to ensure we could still go ahead. We ended up just having the ceremony at The Talbot and again, we were given amazing support to ensure that - although different - our day still went off without a hitch! In short, they went above and beyond to help us salvage our day and make sure it was the best it could possibly be. Although we have no intention of getting married again - when we next have a big celebration, and indeed if we decide to redo our reception next year, we will keep The Talbot in mind - it's a beautiful venue with a wonderful and supportive team. Thank you so much for making our dream day a reality - even within these strange times!

Well straight from the beginning the wedding planner Krystina was very helpful and always communicating with us.
We had loads of information on the show around and even after when I had lots of questions she answered with a quick response.
Krystina sent emails keeping us updated on dates for all events, such as wedding fairs, dates for our diary and kept me organised.
I felt very relaxed throughout and leading up to the day.
The food tasting was amazing and was really surprised with the portions, myself and my husband had a great evening and staff were all very friendly.
On the day Krystina was very helpful and kept me very calm. She let me knew what was happening (even though I was very nervous and kept forgetting) she was there throughout the day and everything was really organised.
I have to say the venue was brilliant and great value for money. Also all staff were friendly and especially the wedding planner Krystina who became part of the family on the day made everyone feel so at ease.
If I could do this all again I would truly pick this venue and have Krystina back as my wedding planner.

We had our wedding at The Talbot on 6th September 24 and we can’t thank all the staff enough for all their work and efforts in making this the most perfect day. The day ran absolutely seamlessly, the food was fantastic and we have received so many compliments from friends and family on how lovely the venue was and what an amazing day it was. Krystyna our wedding coordinator was incredible from start to finish, helping us through the planning every step of the way. Krystyna, our wedding coordinator at The Talbot, was professional and very welcoming from our first meeting in May 2023 and right through to our wedding day on 29 June 2024. The ceremony room was so pretty and perfect for an intimate wedding with close family and friends. We choose to have more of a celebration of our marriage than a formal affair and The Talbot were very accommodating and produced a wonderful barbecue as the wedding meal which all our guests enjoyed and commented on the quality of it. The rooms were decorated beautifully by Ether Events and hit just the right note for us - pretty but not overdone. And the music for the evening by DJ2K had all our guests on the dance floor. The new air conditioning system in the Wisley Suite definitely helped as well as it was a warm evening!

Wow! Where do we start? From start to finish, everything about having our wedding at The Talbot was perfect. From the initial reception we received from Krystyna at the wedding fair in a gloomy November day to our actual wedding day and beyond Krystyna, Avand and the whole team including Grace, Lucas, Olivia and all the others who serve is and looked after our guests were truly amazing.
The recommended suppliers Ether events and DJ2K ( Danny) made the place look and sound magical. We were looked after the whole day with no stress thanks especially to Krystyna who not only organised everything with such precision but also made every planning visit a joy and personally looked after us both so well on the day it was like having your own fairy godmother. Krystyna made us feel so special as though we were the only couple getting married at the Talbot. She really couldn’t do enough for us. The food throughout was delicious and perfectly presented. We found excuses to return the next few days after the wedding just to soak up as much joy as we could. In addition the beautiful historical building and value for money and dog friendly too make this the perfect venue for a beautiful wedding.

We couldn’t believe our luck when we found the talbot, it was everything we wanted for our wedding venue. This was made even better with the communication we had in the lead up to our big day. Krystyna always made time to meet with us and discuss all of our ideas and visions for our wedding, and was invaluable on the day, from setting everything up to walking us through the steps.
We are looking forward to visiting the Talbot in the future and the amazing memories that we now have to look back on. Me and my husband would highly recommend The Talbot, especially if you are looking for an intimate venue with a rustic feel that you can tailor to your vision for your perfect wedding day.
