The Church Northampton is a Wedding Venue located in the town center of Northampton, Northamptonshire. This one-of-a-kind venue in England, has more than eight centuries of history behind it and is brimming with character. The Church started life as St John's Hospital which opened in1138 as a Hospice and has seen many transformations over its 869 years. From Soldiers Burial Grounds, being part of Northampton's First Railway Station and being Re-Consecrated as a Catholic Church before becoming the unique venue it is today. St John's is the oldest secular building left in Northampton. Facilities and Capacity The Church offers a unique and beautiful venue with exclusive use for your Wedding Celebrations and Civil Ceremonies. Couples can enjoy private use of our Chapel Bar, The Main Hall and The Mezzanine Area for thier special day. With sweeping views of the London skyline and surrounded by English countryside, farmland and woodland, Gaynes Park is a contemporary barn wedding venue in a traditional rural setting. An elegant and sophisticated venue that is truly unique, Gaynes Park boasts immaculately restored listed barns, an Orangery, beautiful gardens and boutique luxury accommodation. Weddings can take place in one of three locations: the Orangery, Gather Barn or Mill Barn. The beautiful Orangery is located in the walled garden on the site of an old Victorian conservatory and is a stylish building with exposed oak beams and central double doors that maximise natural light, warmth, ambience and views to the gardens. It is approached from the long, central ‘garden aisle’ which winds through the walled gardens to finish at the conservatory doors ensuring a dramatic entrance for the bride. The magnificent and spacious Mill Barn is supported by four tree trunks that are hundreds of years old. Enhanced with floor-to-ceiling windows at the entrance and overlooking the courtyard at the rear, the barn is a fantastic choice for both the ceremony and wedding breakfast. Providing the grand entrance to Mill Barn is Gather Barn; an attractive open-sided listed building which is surrounded by elegant planters and foliage and offers an idyllic setting for an outside ceremony. The Long Walk boasts year-round colour thanks to established herbaceous borders, traditional roses, bulbs and perennial shrubs. Equally impressive is the Walled Garden, which is a lovely location for mingling with a drinks reception or to play garden games.
