Located in the picturesque Essex countryside, The Reid Rooms is a selection of handsome weather-boarded barns surrounding an attractive courtyard. Set against a stunning rural backdrop and with beautiful gardens, complete with moated Farmhouse accommodation, this venue is sure to provide the perfect setting for your wedding day. The venue is licensed for civil ceremonies, offering both indoor and outdoor options. The intimate oak-beamed Ceremony Room stands at the end of a pretty flower bordered pathway and is delightfully decorated with fairy lights. We have two outdoor ceremony pavilions, The Garden Pavilion on the Farmhouse lawn is secluded and tranquil and The Meadow Pavilion stands in the heart of a truly stunning field surrounded by open countryside. We can offer field hire for those of you looking for a festival-style wedding, with or without a licensed ceremony location. We pride ourselves on our flexibility, letting you have the day you have always imagined. We offer either a package at amazing prices or, if you would like a little more flexibility with your menu, you may choose the ‘venue-only’ hire, bringing in any suppliers of your choice. We are also very happy for you to provide your own alcohol and soft drinks for the day, with no corkage charge. Our bar opens immediately after the wedding breakfast for your evening reception. The Reid Rooms is a wonderful wedding venue for all seasons, hired exclusively for the day from 9.00 am until midnight. It can accommodate small, intimate weddings or more extravagant celebrations of up to 150 guests for the wedding breakfast. We can accommodate up to 200 for the evening reception. A wedding in a Windmill; the perfect location to create the best memories for such a special day! Enjoy time with loved ones in a peaceful, cosy and unique venue! Ceremonies take place in our beautiful round Dining Room for which we hold the wedding licence. We aim to gear the entire day around exactly what you want – some people prefer a small and informal affair, others like something slightly larger and more formal. Please note that our licence only allows us to have an absolute maximum of 26 people including the bride and groom in the ceremony room. We can accommodate up to 50 with the use of a marquee in the garden and the ceremony taking place in our gardens or in the marquee. All of our packages include one or two night stays in the Windmill, sleeping up to 22. Our experienced team at Cley Windmill will be with you every step of the way, from first viewing and planning to being there throughout the day. With in house catering, our chef will be part of your planning process, creating the perfect menu for your special day from BBQ, afternoon teas, canapes, buffets to a 3 or 4 course meal.
