Set in a stunning location with 12 beautiful designed cottages on the Lakeside we have our beautiful lakeside kitchen where our mouth watering menus and specials are served. or hire our lakeside view events room for your special event . Hire the venue for your special day Our 12 outstanding award-winning cottages are set on Brickhouse Farm among acres of stunning countryside. The cottages vary in size, from 2 to 5 bedrooms, and were purpose-built in 2013 to provide holiday accommodation for families, friends and carers. We are in the most tranquil surroundings of Hambleton yet only a step away from the bright lights of Blackpool!

A stunning, 1875 church building, fully wheelchair accessible, with excellent sound system and organ. As a Unitarian church, we are a fully-inclusive community, welcoming everyone regardless of faith, gender, orientation, ethnicity, nationality or background. We are licenced to perform weddings for same-sex and opposite-sex partners, and are equally welcoming to trans, cis or other-gendered people. Wedding services are created by the couple with the minister, so that each service is right for the couple, in terms of music, words, ritual etc.. Traditional or quirky, we celebrate your love the way you want it celebrated!

Elizabeth Gaskell’s House is a truly unique, historical and stunning venue for Weddings and events. From the cosy, book lined Study, to the beautiful Drawing Room with its Boudoir Grand piano, both spaces provide a special space for your wedding ceremony. Both complete with Victorian furnishings and furniture to suit your wedding party, these period rooms are perfect for the couple wanting something a little bit different and unique. Following the ceremony, we can provide a drinks reception in the period Dining Room, which is also where Elizabeth write her famous stories and letters. The beautifully restored gardens with its mix heritage and native planting schemes offer another option for your drinks reception and is an ideal backdrop for wedding photographs. The Houses light and airy basement, includes what was originally the Servants Hall and former Kitchen which has now been transformed to our Tea Room.
