The Great Barn is a privately owned idyllic 18th century wedding venue set in 250 acres of beautifully landscaped grounds and farmland – the perfect location to have your wedding, reception or private function. Licensed for civil ceremonies, The Great Barn can sit up to 140 formally for wedding breakfasts or hold up to 175 for more informal functions.

Our beautiful Wedding Garden was opened in Spring of 2018 and has been blossoming ever since. The outside ceremony area is licensed for 150 guests, with contingencies in place to utilise the Pavilion Barn in case the weather in inclement. As you approach the wedding venue down a quiet country lane, you are greeted by a collection of Sussex flint and brick buildings as well as the main farmhouse. Entering through an iron gate beside the gatehouse, the driveway takes you past the Farmhouse and across the grounds to the front entrance of the reception barn. As soon as you enter the barn, you are hit by the “Wow Factor”. The whole room is swathed in beautiful ivory pleated marquee drapes with swags and tails. The east wall has windows overlooking the rolling fields and woodland where horses and deer roam freely, while the integrated raised dance floor and tall central pillars exude atmosphere, creating a sense of grandeur and space.
